Branded Merchandise And Promotional Gifts Exhibited In Hong Kong Fair

It has successfully been established that branded merchandise can build strong relationships between business and clients and can be used as a powerful marketing tool that easily generates brand recognition. Hong Kong Trade Development Council has long planned of organizing the world’s largest gift sourcing platform through the Hong Kong Gifts and Premium Fair.

More than 4,300 local and overseas exhibitors were invited from 31 countries and regions including Mainland China, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Macau, Taiwan the Philippines. The exhibitors were organized into zones to allow the 4,700 buyers to make the most from the 4-day exhibit. Gift items ranged from the most basic to the ultra sophisticated in high-value merchandise like toys, jewelries, timepieces, silverware, kitchenware, clothing and accessories.

An unlimited number of promotional items were also presented to the crowd in effort to target the corporate market or the premium markets that source promotional gift items from Hong Kong that range from stationary and photo frames, artificial flowers to jewelry boxes, candles, soaps and other giveaways.

Based on onsite surveys, it was revealed that there is a more optimistic outlook in the market compared to the previous year. The economy of China has maintained high growth rate this year that is why the number of buyers from Mainland China has recorded a considerable increase. Double digit growth was also apparent in the number of buyers from Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Russia, Spain and Brazil.

The fair was also successful in launching the Startup Zone so that new companies will be given the opportunity to participate and show their products. There are 20 startups from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China that came and promoted a diverse range of products from original cartoon characters to designer jewelry and art décor.

One of the companies that joined the exhibit includes Kazoo Technology Hong Kong Limited that developed “smart cards” for marketing, gaming and corporate networking. The smart cards store information that is readable through the touchscreen of mobile devices.  Buyers were certainly interested in the smart cards because it is a unique next generation gift. Using the smart card, individuals can use their mobile gadgets to visit websites of promoting companies that use Kazoo technology.
