Mövenpick Appoints Manager For First Asian Property

Sukhumvit is dotted with fancy, world-class hotels conveniently situated near popular hotspots. Amidst them are Mövenpick’s properties; a hotel near terminal 21, and a serviced apartment near the Imperial House Village, the Mövenpick Residences Ekkamai Bangkok.

The Mövenpick Residences Ekkamai Bangkok, was built by Nusasiri Plc, a local developer. It was constructed after the Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15, a hotel near terminal 21, and, as the first of the company’s serviced residence projects, acts as the company’s flagship project for Thailand and Asia. The property offers fully furnished room units, one- or two-bedroom, located in the Ekkamai neighbourhood, not far from the Imperial House Village and the Somder Saranrat Public Park. The property is situated amidst the metropolitan roads of Sukhumvit, not far from the BTS terminals that dot the city map, and, most conveniently, easy access to roads leading to either the Don Mueang International Airport or the Suvarnabhumi Airport.

The property boasts fully furnished rooms, with the choice of one- or two-bedroom units, with additional amenities such as 24-hour dining service, outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, and a library for the more bookish guests.

The owner of the property; Swiss company Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, a hospitality management expert, named Joseph Yamdee as the resident manager for the launch of the new serviced residences; their first in the Asian market, which launched earlier this month.

Mr. Yamdee is an experienced member of the hospitality industry, with work experience in the leading hotels and serviced residences in Bangkok, which stretch back since 1997. Notably, he has experience in holding the position of Resident Manager, having served as such for Citadines Sukhumvit 8 Bangkok and Citadines Sukhumvit 11 Bangkok.

Andrew Langdon, Mövenpick’s chief development officer and VP for the region of Asia, states that they have chosen the decorated Mr. Yamdee for the critical role of running the new property’s daily operation, because they believe that he is capable of bringing the idea of Mövenpick Residences; performing the delicate balancing act needed to ensure that guests receive the best service possible, whilst ensuring a nice profit for the company, and a welcoming, efficient working environment for the employees.
